Ayres T. D'Souza, M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. "D" began practicing in Salem in 1971, before he founded the practice in 1977. Originally from India, he graduated from Saint Xavier’s College and Grant Medical College, both in Bombay. Dr. D’Souza practiced medicine for six years in Saudi Arabia before completing a pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital of Boston. He received a Master of Public Health degree from Boston University in 1992. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and speaks Spanish, Portuguese, Hindustani, and Arabic. |
James T. Higgins, M.D.

Dr. Higgins joined the practice in 1978. He was born in Indiana and raised in New Jersey. He is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Medical School. He did his pediatric training at Massachusetts General Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Boston. Dr. Higgins was awarded the Physician of Excellence Award in 2009 by the North Shore Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and speaks conversational Spanish. Dr. Higgins is currently the Medical Director of the practice. He enjoys opera and prefers the bowtie above all other neck wear. |
Donald T. McAuliffe, Jr., M.D.

Dr. McAuliffe is a native of Massachusetts and joined the practice in 1989. He is a graduate of St. John's Prep, Boston College, and Tufts University School of Medicine. He did his pediatric training at the Boston Floating Hospital of the New England Medical Center, where he was chief resident. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. When not at the office he can usually be found with his wife and three sons supporting the Eagles of St. John's Prep and Boston College. Go Eagles! |
